Reintegration of Returnee Migrant Workers (ReMi) Phase I

Reintegration of Returnee Migrant Workers (ReMi) Project is a bilateral initiative between Governments of Nepal and Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS), respective provincial line ministries (Province Koshi and Madhesh) and 20 participating local governments. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the project on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). We encourage interested Nepali citizens with keen desire to learn to apply for this Traineeship Opportunity.

Title: Trainee-Knowledge Management (one position)

Key learning objectives: The trainee will gain first-hand knowledge of a professional working environment and acquire skills in the field of migration and development. The Trainee will learn about the different phases of migration, as well as the related challenges and prospects. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Knowledge Management and Digitalization Specialist, the trainee will have the opportunity to learn about the dynamics of the labour migration sector, project/program cycle management, knowledge management, data analysis and the role of the three spheres of government and their linkages to the migration sector.

Required Education and Competencies:

Bachelors’ degree in the field of communication, computer application, public administration and social science or any other relevant field. Fresh graduate having no prior job experience. Willingness for extensive field travel in project areas. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, poverty reduction and sensitivity towards migrant workers and their families.

Duty Station: Lalitpur, ReMi Office

Duration: Till 15th July 2026, fixed duration
