Expression of Interest (EOI) Digital Communications Developer

BACKGROUND

Habitat for Humanity International Nepal is an international non-profit organization that builds decent and affordable housing in partnership with people in need. The organization focuses on shelter, partners with families to build decent houses, advocates for land and housing rights, and works with financial institutions for inclusive financial literacy and loans products for the poor while promoting strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

This Expression of Interest has been developed to contract a firm or individual on a 12-month retainer agreement to support Habitat for Humanity Nepal’s Communications Department to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate our target audiences. The Contractor will be supporting the department during periods of intense workload.

The responsibility of this consultancy is to ensure the communication materials adhere to Habitat for Humanity International’s Branding Guidelines and meet Habitat Nepal timelines. 

SCOPE OF WORK

The successful individual or firm will support Habitat for Humanity Nepal remotely. 

Key tasks expected, but not limited to the following:

a) Update and develop further capabilities and information on the Habitat for Humanity Nepal website and social media channels.

b) Provide graphic design and layout communication materials such as annual reports, newsletters, publications, signage, family stories, brochures, press releases, thank you notes, and any other related materials for Habitat Nepal. 

c) Provide photo and video editing capabilities.

d) Other communications related activities as requested, on a negotiated basis.

TIMEFRAMEOF ASSIGNMENT

Habitat Nepal will maintain a Roster of Digital Communications Developer experts. And will enter into consultancy assignments for a minimum of 12 months or a long-term retainer consultancy contract.

HOW TO APPLY

3. PAN card
4. Samples of previous work (Fill out Table 1)
5. Schedule of rates (Fill out Table 2)
6. Profile and CVs of the team members, and their citizenship

Individual consultants must submit:

1. CV and citizenship
2. PAN card
3. Samples of previous work (Fill out Table 1)
4. Schedule of rates (Fill out Table 2)

The services provided must not be more than 3 years old.

The rates provided will be valid for 12 months from the date of signing the service agreement.

Other terms and conditions:

Work Location: The firm or individual’s own premises

Payment: Hourly/Daily rate on actual work basis (backed with verifiable timesheets)

Reporting: Communications Specialist

Travel: None expected

A. ETHICAL STANDARDS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Consultants are expected to adhere to the Habitat Nepal Code of Conduct, including their Safeguarding Policy, ensuring that all measures are taken to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of the individuals and communities involved. Habitat Nepal will own all products, photos, videos resulting from this assignment. Without prior authorization in writing, the consultants will not be allowed to present or use any product resulting from the as their own or for private publication purposes.
