PRADIYA FOUNDATION is a national-level non-governmental organization established in 2023, dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk and vulnerable children through integrated health, child welfare, protection, and education initiatives.
Pradiya International School, operated by PRADIYA FOUNDATION, provides 100% scholarship-supported education to children from marginalized backgrounds from UKG to Grade 6. Alongside education, the foundation ensures children’s physical well-being, safety, and holistic development through structured health and child welfare services within a safe residential and community-based setting.
Purpose of the Position
The Staff Nurse will provide basic healthcare, preventive services, and first aid to children and staff at the PRADIYA FOUNDATION site. The role supports child health monitoring, disease prevention, emergency response, and health awareness while contributing to a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment.
This is a residential position, and the selected candidate will be required to live on-site with the school and child welfare program.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Provide first aid and basic nursing care to children and staff
Monitor children’s health, hygiene, nutrition, and general well-being
Maintain health records, medicine logs, and medical documentation
Identify and respond to minor illnesses and emergencies; refer serious cases to health facilities
Support regular health check-ups, immunization follow-ups, and medical referrals
Promote health education, hygiene practices, and child safety
Coordinate with local health posts, clinics, and hospitals as needed
Ensure proper storage, use, and accountability of medicines and supplies
Uphold child safeguarding, protection, and confidentiality standards
Be available on-site for health-related support as required
Perform other duties assigned by program management
Required Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) in Nursing
Valid registration with Nepal Nursing Council
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant nursing experience
Basic knowledge of child health, first aid, and emergency care
Ability to work ethically and confidentially with children
Good communication and coordination skills
Willingness to live and work in a rural residential setting
