The Dalit Help Society (DHS) is Dalit led NGO, founded in 2063 BS and officially affiliated with the Social Welfare Council in 2064 BS, is headquartered in Jayaprithvi Municipality, Bajhang. DHS focuses on creating an equitable and prosperous society, particularly through social empowerment and development initiatives for marginalized communities such as Dalits, ultra-poor and deprives. DHS is heavily engaged in various components of community development through various project reaching out to the children, adolescent, youth, women, People with disabilities, conflicts and disaster survivors from marginalized and underprivileged groups.

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), DHS is implementing Women economic empowerment (WEE) of Bajhang district. Therefore, now DHS is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens for the post of Senior Project Coordinator & Field officer for smooth implementation of the project.

1.Senior Project Coordinator - 1

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field with Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in market systems development, value chain development, livelihoods, economic development, agribusiness, or related sectors; Master’s degree (3 years prior experience in similar projects is preferred)

  • Experience in designing and implementing climate-smart and environmentally sustainable interventions for households, communities, producer groups, and market actors. 
  • Strong understanding of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), gender-transformative approaches, and community-led development principles.
  • Strong understanding of Environment, Sustainability, and Climate Action (ESCA) principles and their application within livelihoods, agriculture, financial inclusion, and inclusive market systems development (iMSD) programmes. 
  • Understanding of green business models, climate-resilient enterprises, sustainable value chains, and environmentally responsible business practices. 
  • Knowledge of primary production systems, agriculture-based enterprises, market-led development approaches, and climate-smart agricultural practices. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex environmental, climate and disaster-related challenges through practical and innovative solutions.
  • Strong training, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build the capacity of project staff, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in conducting capacity assessments and training needs assessments, and providing ongoing technical support and mentorship.
  • Excellent report writing, documentation, and communication skills, including the preparation of technical, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
  • Experience in project planning, budget forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and financial tracking to support effective programme implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams while promoting gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding standards.
2.Field Officer - 1Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management (NRM), Climate Change, Environmental Science, Forestry, with Minimum 3 years of experience in climate finance or gender studies at academic or research/field survey
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex environmental, climate and disaster-related challenges through practical and innovative solutions.
  • Strong training, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build the capacity of project staff, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in conducting capacity assessments and training needs assessments, and providing ongoing technical support and mentorship.
