1. Job Purpose:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the complete accounting and financial operations of the automobile service centre, including daily bookkeeping, service and spare parts billing, inventory accounting, payroll support, financial reporting, and compliance with Nepalese tax regulations. The role ensures accuracy, transparency, and smooth financial functioning of the workshop and spare parts operations.
2. Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate daily accounting records using accounting software (Tally, Swastik, FinPOS, or similar).
2. Handle service and spare parts billing, ensuring job cards, invoices, and stock usage are properly matched.
3. Manage cash book, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
4. Maintain spare parts inventory records and coordinate periodic stock reconciliation with the store/storekeeper.
5. Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and ensure compliance with Nepalese tax regulations (VAT, TDS).
6. Support payroll processing, including attendance, overtime, incentives, and staff settlements.
7. Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and outstanding reports.
8. Coordinate with banks, auditors, service advisors, and management for financial and administrative matters.
3. Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (BBS, BBA, or equivalent).
Experience: 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an automobile service centre, workshop, or trading company.
Skills & Knowledge:
1. Sound knowledge of Nepalese taxation (VAT, TDS).
2. Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Swastik, or similar systems.
3. Ability to coordinate effectively with service advisors, technicians, vendors, and management.
4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
5. Basic understanding of automobile service operations will be an added advantage.
