Pradiya International School, a flagship initiative of PRADIYA FOUNDATION, provides 100% scholarship-supported education to children from marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The school currently runs classes from UKG to Grade 6, focusing on child-centered, inclusive, and activity-based learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
Position Summary
The Mathematics and Science Teachers will deliver quality classroom instruction, support students’ academic and personal development, and contribute to a positive, child-friendly school environment. The role requires commitment to rural education, collaboration with colleagues, and adherence to child safeguarding principles.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics or Science to students from UKG–Grade 6 using interactive and age-appropriate methods
Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments aligned with the school curriculum
Maintain student attendance, academic progress, and evaluation records
Promote foundational skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration
Create a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment
Participate in academic planning meetings, trainings, and school activities
Communicate effectively with school leadership and parents when required
Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities
Follow school policies, safeguarding standards, and codes of conduct
Perform other duties assigned by the School Principal or Education Program Director
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant subject area
Specialization in Mathematics (for Maths Teacher)
Specialization in Science (for Science Teacher)
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at primary or lower secondary level
Strong understanding of child development and classroom management
Ability to apply student-centered and activity-based teaching methods
Basic computer literacy
Proficiency in Nepali; English proficiency is an advantage
Experience working in rural or community schools is an added advantage
Age Preference
Candidates aged 30 to 50 years are preferred
