HOLY VISION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (HVHSS) is a renowned educational institution located in Kathmandu Metropolitan city ward no. 13. The school focuses on providing quality education to around 1000 students from Play Group (PG) to class XII, with an emphasis on leadership in the 21st century. The teaching-learning atmosphere is built on discipline and moral values to prepare students for the competitive world.

Position: School Nurse (Full-Time)

This is a full-time on-site School Nurse role at Holy Vision Secondary School in Kathmandu. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing medical assistance, managing the school health program, handling nursing tasks, and focusing on pediatric care.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
• Monitor and manage the health of students with chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate student health records and medical reports.
• Administer prescribed medications as needed during school hours.
• Promote health education and awareness on hygiene, nutrition, and safety.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents on student health concerns.
• Ensure the school's infirmary is well-equipped and hygienic at all times.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in pediatric or school health settings.
• Good communication skills in both English and Nepali.
• Caring, patient, and student-centered approach.

Required Skills:

• Excellent clinical and first-aid skills.
• Strong assessment and decision-making abilities in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in health documentation and medical recordkeeping.
• •Basic counseling and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to educate students on health, hygiene, and wellness topics.
• Teamwork and collaboration with school staff and parents.
• Familiarity with child development and adolescent health issues.
• Time management and organizational skills.
