Scholarship Management Associate (Nepal) • Opportunity to contribute to the South Asia Scholarship Program • Full time position/ Long term contract • Based in Kathmandu, Nepal The South Asia Scholarship Program (ASASP) is a key delivery mechanism and integral part of the Australian Government’s development cooperation program across South Asia. The goal for the South Asia scholarships program is for Australian scholarship awardees to contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development in South Asia. The program covers selected management and administrative functions for AusAID’s scholarship program, delivered in six countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan. The services provided include scholarship promotion and selection, placement of students into Australian universities; student mobilisation; working with AusAID to develop monitoring and evaluation (M&E) strategy and system; and strategies for assisting students return to their home countries and workplaces. The Scholarship Management Associate (Nepal) supports the work of the Country Coordinator with the on-going management of their respective work program involving scholarship promotion and selection, placement and general management of awardees in ASASP. Key responsibilities of the position include: • Providing support in the day-to-day management of program management and administration • Assisting in the management of pre-departure briefings for scholarship awardees • Assisting in the management of M&E systems, reintegration strategies and Alumni Plan To be considered for this position, applicants will need to demonstrate previous experience in the management and administration of projects, ideally on a donor funded program, experience working and consulting with a range of stakeholders and organisations and good knowledge of data base and web based systems. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and knowledge of the ODA sector is desirable.
