Job Title: Research Associate

Level: Officer

Position Summary:

The Research Associate will support the Association’s data-driven research, policy analysis, and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities combined with practical IT skills, including data management, automation, and digital reporting.

The position will contribute to research on the banking and financial sector, including sectoral analysis and insights to support decision-making and policy advocacy. The role will also play a key part in strengthening the Association’s data portal.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Research & Analysis

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on banking and financial indicators;
  • Assist in the preparation of analytical reports, policy briefs, and sectoral studies;
  • Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to generate evidence-based insights;
  • Support benchmarking and comparative studies.

2. Data Management, Digital Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain databases to support research and analytical work; 
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and other relevant software for data analysis and visualization; 
  • Automate data collection and reporting processes where applicable; 
  • Prepare dashboards, presentations, and visual reports using appropriate tools; 
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, and user-friendly insights; 
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation; 
  • Explore and recommend solutions to improve research efficiency and data management. 

3. Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for data collection and research inputs; 
  • Maintain proper documentation of research methodologies and outputs. 

Required Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, or a related field; 
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in research or industry bodies; 
  • Sound knowledge of relevant software and analytical tools; 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; 
  • High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset; 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
