1) Introduction of ADRA:

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian organization founded in 1956. ADRA has a long and successful history of providing humanitarian relief and implementing development initiatives. ADRA aims to work with people in poverty and distress to create justice and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. 

ADRA in Nepal, one of the members of the global ADRA Network, was established and has been operational in the country since 1987. ADRA Nepal is connected to regular long-term development programs, ensuring that the communities we work with can empower themselves to strengthen their livelihoods and access health services as well as humanitarian response/ Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

2) Project overview

ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) in Nepal is implementing a project called CSOs Actions for Resilient Ecosystem and Community with a grant from the European Union (EU), co-financed by Austrian Development Cooperation and ADRA Austria with the partnership of ANSAB Nepal, BEE Group and FECOFUN. This is a four-year project under Supporting Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) ability to engage as actors promoting green growth and good governance, implemented in two districts of Lumbini province of Nepal. 

The project aims to work with 70 CSOs (50 forest users-, 20 farmers-groups) from four local governments: Nepal, Lumbini Province, Banke (Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality, Kohalpur Municipality) and Bardiya (Madhuwan Municipality and Thakurbaba Municipality) districts. The action will work with 8 CSO networks (4 local level FECOFUNs, 2 district level FECOFUNs, 2 Buffer Zone level networks) promoting community welfare through SFM, 2 National Parks (Banke & Bardiya), 2 Divisional and 2 Sub-Divisional Forest Offices. The project will work with at least ten community-based enterprises who utilise the locally available forest and farm-based products and four ecotourism enterprises. 

Interested and eligible consultancy firm are requested to apply for the call for the proposal with a cover letter, Technical Proposal  including team/team leaders CVs and Financial proposal as mentioned on ToR should be submitted via email to tenders@adranepal.org or dropped at ADRA Nepal Office Sanepa, Lalitpur until  20th  February 2024.
