Hiring Consultant for Conducting Volunteer Capacity Building Training
LI-BIRD as an implementing partner, People in Need (PIN), as a technical partner and WHH as Financial Support implementing Multi-hazard Early Warning for Anticipatory Action project at Gurbhakot municipality from January 2024 to June 2026. The project aims to pilot anticipatory action to save lives and livelihoods.
Nepal’s disaster management framework assigns shared responsibilities across federal, provincial, and local governments, with local authorities leading preparedness and response efforts. Given the country’s vulnerability to frequent hazards like earthquakes, floods, and landslides—especially in rural and marginalized areas—community-based disaster risk reduction is essential. To address gaps in awareness and coordination, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has introduced the “Disaster Volunteer Mobilization Basic Training Curriculum 2081,” which equips local volunteers with practical skills in emergency preparedness, first aid, and rescue. Grounded in principles of inclusivity, transparency, and responsiveness, the training fosters a resilient, community-driven disaster response system aligned with national priorities.
The project has planned to organize a volunteer capacity building training and invites all the eligible consultants/firms to submit the sealed proposal for undertaking the consultancy assignment for conducting the training. Please use the form/template provided in the EoI document while preparing your proposal. The detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) and Expression of Interest (EoI) document along with the supplier declaration form can be downloaded from the link below:
