Request for Quotations (RFQ)

03RFQ No: BHC-NP-02-21

The Building Healthy Cities (BHC) Project, funded by the  United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), is soliciting quotations to supply the above RFQ title services, as described in more detail in the attached Annex 1: Service Specifications.

Please submit your most competitive quotation in English in accordance with the attached instructions, and all required Certifications.  Any contract issued as a result of this RFQ will be subject to all instructions, certifications, terms and conditions, and specifications as negotiatied in the final contract issued. . This document is a request for quotations only and in no way obligates the Project to make any award.

GENERAL

JSI Research &  Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), is a health care consulting and research organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities in the U.S. and around the world. JSI’s mission is to improve the health of underserved people and communities and to provide a place where people of passion and commitment can pursue this cause. In Nepal, JSI has worked for 40 years, with recent project focusing on strengthening health systems in the areas of vaccination, health supply chain, family health and environmental health, to increase access to lifesaving services and commodities that improve the health and nutrition of women and children.

The Building Healthy Cities (BHC) project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and aims to embed a health equity lens into city policies, planning, and services while improving data flow for existing Smart Cities in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Nepal. BHC will be working in special partnership with Kathmandu to support roll out of their Kathmandu Valley Air Quality Action Plan (KVAP) at the municipality level.

INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS

1. DEFINITIONS   

  • Offeror:  The individual or firm providing quotations for the services requested under this RFQ.
  • Contractor: The individual or firm awarded the services requested under the RFQ in the form of a contract.

2. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Services requested shall be delivered to the address specified below:

Oojam AOS, 3rd Floor, Nepal Bar Council Building, Jwagal, Kupondole, Lalitpur, Nepal.

3. QUOTATION GUIDELINES

Only one quotation may be submitted by each Offeror.  Offerors should read the solicitation in its entirety and ensure that their quotation addresses all of the items cited in the instructions, meet the selection criteria, and responds to Annex 1 – Goods and Services Specifications.  All quotations must be submitted by the established deadline. Quotations submitted after the closing date and time will not be considered.

Receipt of a quotation to this request does not constitute an award or commitment on behalf of JSI, nor does it commit JSI to reimburse any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a quotation.  JSI reserve the right not to make any award as a result of this solicitation.

All questions or clarifications regarding this RFQ must be in writing and submitted to kushal_acharya@np.jsi.com, no later than February 24, 2021. Questions and requests for clarification, and the responses thereto, will be circulated to the mailing list of those who have indicated interest in this RFQ. If there are no questions but still willing to apply, offerers should still send an email for requesting to add them in the mailing list by February 24, 2021.
