Procurement Title: Construction of Seed Processing and Cold Storage Facility

CIMMYT invites sealed bids/proposals from eligible and qualified construction company/firms/suppliers/service providers for the Construction of Seed Processing and Cold Storage Facility.

2. Scope of Procurement

The successful bidder shall be responsible for construction and supply of Seed Processing and Cold Storage Facility in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions provided in the bidding documents. 

The detailed requirements are provided in the Terms of Reference (ToR)/Technical Specifications/Scope of Work which can be collected from CIMMYT Office, Khumaltar from 25 to 27 August 2026.

3. Eligibility Requirements

Interested bidders must meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Legally registered company/firm in Nepal.
2. Registered with VAT
3. A valid company registration certificate.
4. Latest Tax Clearance Certificate
5. Relevant experience in providing similar works or services.
6. Necessary technical and financial capacity to perform the contract.
7. Not debarred, blacklisted or otherwise prohibited from participating in procurement activities.
8. Comply with applicable laws and regulations of Nepal including Nepal construction standards
9. Meet any additional eligibility requirements specified in the bidding documents.

5. Bid Submission Requirements

Bidders shall submit their bids in accordance with the requirements specified in the bidding documents. The bid shall include Technical and Financial Proposal closed separately and submit in a sealed envelope.

The lowest bid price alone shall not guarantee contract award; the bid must also meet all specified technical, quality, experience, delivery, and other evaluation requirements.

CIMMYT may reject bids that do not substantially comply with the requirements of the bidding documents.

Bids received after the deadline shall not be accepted for evaluation.
