Introduction

Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e. V. is one of the largest non -governmental organisations in Germany operating in the humanitarian assistance and development fields. It was established in 1962, as the German section of the “Freedom from Hunger Campaign”, one of the world’s first initiatives aimed at the eradication of hunger. Welthungerhilfe’s work is still dedicated to the following vision: All people have a right to a self -determined life in dignity and justice, free from hunger and poverty.

Welthungerhilfe (WHH) has been operational in Nepal since 2012, and it is currently managing different projects in sixteen districts under eight thematic areas (sectors): Humanitarian Actions, Agriculture, Climate Reliance and Natural Resource Management, Nutrition & Health, WASH, Economic Development, Civil Society Empowerment, ICT4D and others. WHH works partnership with civil society in Nepal to empower socially marginalized and economically poor citizens, to strengthen their resilience and to ensure their right to adequate food and nutrition through a systems thinking approach.

For its country office located at Sanepa, Lalitpur, Nepal we are looking forward to have a Service Contract for the period of one year to provide the insurance service for its entire staff including family members for Domiciliary and Hospitalization Treatment and also Group Personal Accident (GPA) insurance . It is yearly renewable up to maximum of 2 years upon satisfactory completion of the service

General remarks and special conditions

1. The company should be legally registered in Nepal.
2. The medical insurance policy should cover the benefits as per the attached table of benefits.
3. The term family refers to - employees and their 3 immediate family members.
4. Employees’ spouse or children or parents are considered as immediate family members for this purpose. Age limit for the parents should be 75 years.
5. The maternity cover shall be per child during the policy period.
6. GPA insurance policy for employees covering the amount equivalent to 25 lakhs per employee.
7. The proposal/offer should mention the period of settlement after submission.
8. Please mention the submission time of claim after illness/ check -up/disc
9. WHH employees should be eligible for the medical and GPA insurance with effect from the issuance date of insurance . Welthungerhilfe will ensure that in case the new company is selected there will be not any gap between these two contracts.
10. The Claim should be reimbursed directly to the claimant bank account .
11. There are around 30 -35 staffs currently working with Welthungerhilfe.
12. Hospitalization should cover in Nepal and India .
13. The annual limit of coverage should be on floaters basis .
14. Cover percentage (should be 100%) or any deductible per claim should be mentioned .

Welthungerhilfe Nepal reserves all the rights to reject any or all application without providing any reasons
