Background of the Call
PSI/Nepal has been partnering with Green Tara Nepal for implementing Women’s health project to increase access to family planning and safe abortion services. One of the major objectives of this project is to increase knowledge/awareness on FP and SAS services and its legalities and for this production/broadcasting of radio spots/jingles has been key activity. In this Phase, for the year 2022, 3 Public Service Announcements (PSAs) reviewed and approved by National Health Education Information and Communication Center (NHEICC) have been produced. The PSAs aim to raise awareness among Women of Reproductive Age (WRA) and the general audience on family planning, safe abortion, and its legalities.
Description
This call is for the FM stations locally based in the WHP targeted districts (Kathmandu, Makwanpur,Chitwan Sindhuli & Kavre) for airing the produced 1 min PSAs. The activity will start from early July till the end of September 2022.
Duration: July- September 2022.
Key selection criteria for the FM Station
- Registered in the Nepal Government Ministry of Communication and Information/concern department of Nepal Government. Submission of updated renewal is a must.
- The station should be based in Kathmandu Kavre or Sindhuli or Chitwan or Makwanpur).
- Registered with a 500W output transmitter.
- Experience in airing health content preferably in Family Planning and/or Safe abortion.
