About organization :
The Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities Nepal (FSGMN) is a national umbrella organization dedicated to advancing the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of sexual and gender minority communities across Nepal since 2207. FSGMN works to promote social inclusion, equality, and meaningful participation of marginalized groups in governance, political processes, and public life.
FSGMN engages in evidence‑based research, policy analysis, advocacy, and capacity‑building to address structural barriers and discrimination faced by sexual and gender minorities. The organization collaborates closely with government institutions, civil society organizations, political actors, academic networks, and international development partners to strengthen inclusive systems and policies at local, provincial, and federal levels.
Through its programs and projects, including governance and political participation initiatives, FSGMN aims to bridge gaps between marginalized communities and the state by generating credible research, strengthening institutional capacities, and supporting policy dialogue and reform. The organization is committed to human rights‑based, participatory, and ethical approaches that contribute to inclusive democracy and sustainable development in Nepal.
Consultancy Opportunities
FSGMN is seeking qualified and experienced consultants to conduct two separate studies:
- Study 1: Review and Analysis of Existing Legal and Electoral Frameworks
- Study 2: Perception and Understanding of Political Parties and LGBTIQ+ Individuals on Political Participation:
