Construction Management and Training Services

NIVAS, a US-based Nonprofit Organization, invites construction management firm or individuals to submit proposals to perform construction management and training services for an upcoming social welfare program in Dang, Nepal.

Project Location: Gadhawa and Rajpur, Dang, Nepal

Project Timeframe: March 2024 to Dec 31, 2024

Proposal Due Date: March 10, 2024

NIVAS has been supporting Nepal-based NGOs in their mission to help families build safer, more resilient homes and economic stability in multiple regions of Nepal since 2014.

The tentative scope of work for this project will include:

• Preconstruction Planning and Design
• Construction Training (including local resident orientation and in-depth on-the-job training)
• Residential Construction Project Management.

The minimum qualifications that will be considered by NIVAS and our partner organization as a basis for selection of a construction manager are as follows:

1. Responding firm or individuals and individuals must have a minimum of five years’ experience providing professional construction management services as described in the RFP.
2. Firm or individual or individual’s experience as a construction manager should include at least five high quality projects in Nepal in commercial or residential buildings (civil works will not be considered).
3. Firm or individual or individual is licensed and registered in Nepal.
4. Ability to communicate in English with NIVAS team (Required for collaboration and connectedness, but not required of every staff member).

Only firm or individuals that meet or exceed the above minimum selection criteria set forth by NIVAS and our partners will be seriously considered. Residents local to Dang who are interested in the program but do not meet the above criteria should reach out to us as there may be opportunity for employment throughout the program.

PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS

The respondent’s proposal shall include the following:

1. Title page showing the proposal is for construction management services; the firm or individual’s name, name, address and telephone number of a contact person, and the date of the proposal.
2. Table of Contents
3. Information described in the Proposal Format Section as outlined below.
