Request for proposal to prepare video documentary of SAMAHIT Project (2022 -2025)

1. Background

KOSHISH is a non-government organization, established in 2008, and working for the promotion of mental health and psychosocial well-being in Nepal. KOSHISH has been implementing the SAMAHIT project in partnership with FELM in Birendranager Municipality of Karnali and Dhangadhi Sub metropolitan city of Sudurpaschim province since 2022. The project aims to mainstream mental health and psychosocial disability in government plans and policies through advocacy by the right holders. 

Objective:

The major objectives of the evaluation are:

• To prepare video documentary of the SAMAHIT project by capturing the project results, achievement, and changes  in the project area ( Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City of Kailali and Birendranagar Municipality of Surkhet districts)
• Major Scope of the work:
  • Production of the compelling and high quality of video documentary, capturing the proejct impact, best practice and result.
  • Capture and edit high-quality video and audio footage (interviews, narration, etc.)
  • Incorporate voice-over, subtitles (English) and sign language.
  • Deliver final outputs including:
  • 15-20  minutes project documentary (HD quality)
  • 3–5 minute summary documentary (HD quality)

The expects the following qualification and skills for the evaluation team

• A composition of team members with extensive experience on similar task, preference will be given to those who have prior experiences capturing videos and documentaries of the project related to disability and advocacy.
• Familiarity with international frameworks such including UNCRPD, Act on the Rights of Persons with Disability and Regulation, Local Government Operation Act and understanding of psychosocial disability related issues.
• Excellent English and Nepali language skill, including transcribe skills with the grass root community.  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
