CARE is an international NGO with local staff and community partners in more than 90 countries. We create local solutions to poverty and inequality and seek dignity for everyone every day and during times of crisis. CARE puts women and girls at the center of everything we do because they have proven to be the best hope for creating lasting change in the world. CARE has been operational in Nepal since 1978 and works in partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders across the spectrum of humanitarian action and long-term development programs.

USAID ARH Background

USAID Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) is a five-year program supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) led by CARE Nepal and in partnership with the Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON), Howard Delafield International (HDI), Jhpiego, and Nepal CRS Company. ARH is an adolescent co-led initiative to empower girls and boys, 10-19 years and including the most marginalized, to attain their adolescent reproductive health (ARH) rights. The primary goal of USAID ARH is to support adolescents to reach their full potential and strengthen public systems and private entities to create an enabling environment for healthy ARH behaviors. USAID ARH will contribute to a healthy, resilient, well-nourished population in Nepal.

USAID ARH works with the Government of Nepal, private sector, relevant stakeholders and young people to support adolescents in Nepal to reach their full capacity by choosing and practicing healthy reproductive behaviors. This program will work in coordination with the Government of Nepal Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Ministry of Women Children and Senior Citizens (MoWCSC) and relevant province level ministries along with Province Health Directorate, Province Health Training Centers, ARH Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), private sector organizations, and professional associations.

The purpose of this Statement of Work is to engage a consultant or research organization having relevant expertise in Total Market Approach (TMA) to lead an FP/RH services and products assessment including mapping in USAID ARH municipalities and develop plan for USAID ARH.
