Background

Corus International is a family of organizations that believes those born into difficult circumstances deserve the opportunity for a better life. Corus was formed through the strategic merger of IMA World Health and Lutheran World Relief and operates globally in livelihoods, health, and resilience programming.

The USDA-funded Aquaculture Development in Nepal Project for Markets, Business, Resilience, and Diversification for Household Income (SAMBRIDHI) aims to increase aquaculture sector profitability, strengthen financial services, improve SPS compliance, and promote safe fish consumption across 14 districts of Nepal.

Under Component 1 (Address SPS and Trade Facilitation Issues), digital tools will support traceability, logistics coordination, and monitoring of post-harvest handling practices.

Under Component 2 (Increase Aquaculture Sector Profitability), the project will introduce digital solutions to enhance market transparency, improve price visibility, strengthen digital record-keeping, and facilitate efficient buyer–seller linkages across the aquaculture value chain.

Under Component 3 (Strengthen Financial Services for Aquaculture), the project will promote digital payment systems, agent banking expansion, and partnerships with financial institutions and fintech providers to improve transaction efficiency and financial tracking.

Under Component 4 (Promote Consumption of Safe and Nutritious Fish), digital dashboards will be developed to monitor fish availability, pricing, and consumption trends.

To operationalize these digital interventions, the project seeks to engage an ICT Service Provider to design, deploy, and manage integrated digital platforms aligned with the project components.

Further details about the organization can be found at: https://corusinternational.org

Objective: To design and implement integrated digital solutions that strengthen aquaculture market systems in Nepal by improving market transparency and data-driven decision-making across the value chain
