Mission East is an international relief and development organization founded in Denmark in 1991. We engage in short-term responses following disasters and long-term interventions that address root causes of vulnerability and act flexibly in the nexus between these. 

Mission East ‘Values in Action’ are: honesty, integrity, compassion, valuing the individual, respect for all people.

The core sector of experiences and expertise are WASH, Food Security, Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction and Disability & Inclusion. 

The key operational approaches are inclusion, resilience and accountability & partnership.

In Nepal, Mission East is working since 2007 for the people of Karnali and other districts of Nepal together with NGO’s.

Mission East is looking a competent NGO working in Nepal to maintain a roster and forthe possible partnership to promote permaculture practices in Karnali Province.  Therefore, NGO’s who have least 7 years experiences in permaculture are encouraged to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) by email: recruitment.nepal@missioneast.org  by 12 April 2021. 

Applicants are requested to submit the below mention document along with the application:

• Duly filled in-depth Partner Profile of Mission East as per the format (Please download the format)
• Concept (max 5 page) in permaculture as per the organizations’ expertise
• Copies of updated Legal documents (Legislations, NGO registration, SWC affiliation, PAN/VAT certificate, organization renewal and Tax clearance certificate)
• CV of management team (at least 3) 
• Last three year’s annual audit reports including Fiscal year 2076/77
• Organization’s policies and procedures (Financial, Human Resources, Logistics, safeguarding …etc)
• Two references from current or previous donors/partners.

Applicant can provide other relevant information that are deemed useful for a success of the EOI. This includes but not limited to appreciation letters, membership documents, experience of working with private sectors, academics etc

An Evaluation Committee will evaluate the EOI applications based on the below mention evaluation criteria:

• Working in the field of Permaculture promotion in Nepal for at least 7 years
• Organized Permaculture Design Course/PDC (Basic and Diploma)
• Having knowledge on farm designed based on Permaculture principle
• Having a strong network at international, national and provincial level for Permaculture promotion.
• Experience on managing development project(s) directly
• Working with government and strong capacity &experience in conducting all level advocacy activities.
• General and/or country-specific past performance impact by projects/programs and references (preferably more than one reference)
