Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Far Western Region being one of the leading development organizations in the Sudur Paschim Province of Nepal. NNSWA has 107 General Members who constitute the General Assembly of NNSWA. 11 members of this General Assembly constitute an Executive Committee. Executive Members are elected by the General assembly for a term of 5 years. The Executive Committee has 6 Office Bearers (President, Vice-president, General Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice-treasurer) and 5 Executive Members. 40% of General Assembly and Executive Committee members are female. NNSWA has its district chapters at Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula districts and other district NNSWA helping committee are existed and providing services in all 9 districts within the Sudur Paschim Province, Nepal. The Executive Committee is the legally constituted body responsible for providing strategic and policy direction to the organization. NNSWA has its own office building having sufficient rooms and training hall at Bheemdatt Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur district.

Request for a proposal (RFP) for child profile development

NNSWA Kanchanpur is one of the dedicated NOGs of the far-west province in the sector of community development. It was established in 1990 with the vision of building an equitable society and is continuously working to ensure the socio-economic rights of disadvantaged and marginalized communities. Since 2022, NNSWA has been working in the Krishnapur municipality of Kanchanpur in partnership with World Vision International Nepal with the aim of supporting child protection and wellbeing.

With the aim of contributing to the field of child protection in partnership between NNSWA and World Vision, the association has moved forward with the purpose of playing a supporting role in the Nepal government’s goal to make child-friendly local governance (CFLG) in Nepal up to 2087. In this process, Krishanpur municipality, Kanchanpur, decided to declare Ward No. 1 of the Krishanpur municipality as a CFLG ward in the near future, so as an important step to advance the campaign, there is a plan to make a child profile of the respective ward. Regarding this context, NNSWA invites applications from interested and eligible individuals and firms willing to make a child profile of Ward No. 1 of Kanchanpur and requested to submit their proposals. As the plan is to start working with the individuals and firms selected through the necessary selection process from April, interested individuals and firms are encouraged for consulting services.

Scope of Work:

The major scope of the work are facilitation of the consultation meeting & workshop for the developing child profile plan with Palika, Ward, and stakeholders, data analysis and tabulation for report preparation. (Including data collection at field, prepare a Child profile and investment plan aligning with the LLCA report developed in the 5 pillars of CFLG guidelines., consultation with the Partner and WVIN Protection Program staff for all necessary preparations for the assignment in the need of additional support required to prepare the action plan and Report, drafting and sharing the schedule for the consultation meeting with NNSWA. 

Proposal Submission Requirements: Interested trainers are invited to submit a comprehensive proposal that includes the following:

  1. Introduction and Overview: Brief introduction of the consultant / firms and an overview of the proposed approach to develop child profile. 
  2. Experience and Qualifications: Details of relevant experience, qualifications, and relative documents work with CFLG profile developments. 
  3. Training Methodology: Detailed outline of the profile development plan, including the area to be covered, data collection methods, and expected outcomes.
  4. References: Contact information for at least two references from organizations where similar training has been conducted.
  5. Budget: A detailed budget proposal, including all costs associated with the profile development.

Late submissions before 5 PM of 6th April will not be considered.
