1. Job Title: Regional Office Coordinator

Location: Chitwan

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Regional Office Coordinator in Chitwan. This role will be pivotal in overseeing various aspects of operations within our regional office, with a primary focus on financial transactions, waste PET collection and recycling, vendor coordination, administrative tasks, and fostering relationships with local government entities, schools, and youth organizations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transaction Oversight:

  • Manage financial transactions including invoicing, billing, and expense tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

2. Waste PET Collection and Vendor Coordination:

  • Coordinate waste PET collection activities within the region.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure timely pickup and delivery of waste PET

3. Administrative Work:

  • Provide administrative support to the regional office, including managing schedules, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and databases.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of meetings, conferences, and events.

4. Liaison with Local Government:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with local government agencies and officials.
  • Stay informed about local regulations and policies relevant to our operations.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and discussions with government stakeholders.

5. School and Youth Coordination:

  • Collaborate with schools and youth organizations to promote awareness and participation in our initiatives.
  • Develop and implement outreach programs targeting schools and youth groups.
  • Organize educational workshops and events to engage the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in office administration, preferably in a coordinating or managerial role.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and financial records.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, vendors, and community members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and waste management principles is a plus.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.

2. Job Description: Communications Specialist

Purpose of the Role

To take lead in the creation and development of communication plans and strategies, as well as external communication and outreach initiatives for CREASION.

Roles and Responsibilities

Communication strategy and outreach:

  • Assess communications needs and priorities for CREASION;
  • Refine and adapt CREASION’s communications and outreach strategy
  • Constructive and timely advice to integrate advocacy and communication strategies into all aspects of CREASION;
  • Ensure accessibility of all content developed from CREASION
  • Integrate communication, advocacy, and outreach strategies into project reports/proposals and other documents
  • Create KPI’s for the communication department and oversee the activities and deliverables

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Provide quality control on all reports, marketing materials, and other documents generated by the project development team
  • Collect content for weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports
  • Develop and provide inputs for CREASION’s annual reporting
  • Provide advice and recommendations to CREASION’s communication department, on effective messaging, positioning and tactics to reach key audiences;
  • Development and Dissemination of communication and advocacy materials for flagship initiatives and publications;
  • Develop, support and assist with promotional activities and public relations campaigns to position CREASION as a leader within the Environment & Sustainability development space;
  • Guide CREASION's communications officers with all communication plans, strategies, and implementations

Social Media and Website Maintenance:

  • Provide support in developing communication materials (i.e. social media posts, graphics, infographics, presentations)
  • Ensure timely production of quality communication products such as articles, feature stories, photographs, and videos to the support implementation of the project’s communication strategy
  • Manage CREASION’s website content and maintenance based on the project requirements
  • Oversee CREASION’s social media accounts to ensure positive engagement and visibility of the project and donors
  • Oversee the designs and visual elements in all communications and dissemination materials

Media coordination:

  • Coordinate with relevant media and media persons to increase partnerships and enhance visibility
  • Provide support in organizing events, workshops, and trainings
  • Advise CREASION’s communication department on media relations and handle media inquiries;
  • Development and maintenance of media contacts and lists;
  • Draft and distribute media advisories, news releases and other materials and design and organize media events, as appropriate, to promote activities of CREASION;
  • Advise and assist CREASION’s communication department to include media outreach activities such as interviews or press briefings in the
  • Provide access for journalists to subject matter experts;
  • Provide effective and timely responses to public information inquiries; and
  • Provide timely strategic advice and creative solutions for dealing with sensitive   communications issues and stories.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, media studies, or social science

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong and empathetic interpersonal skills to work in harmony with diverse team members.
  • Excellent English and Nepali oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with mid and high-level partners and local communities.
  • Good knowledge of social media and website management
  • Advance skill in using Computer and IT, and good experiences in using the digital platform.
  • Ability to work under pressure
