Quality Control Officer

One of the reputed Pvt. Ltd. Company engaged in Social Marketing of Family Planning and Maternal Child Health products in Nepal seeks to fulfill the below vacant position for its Production unit at Hetauda, Nepal.

1. Position: Quality Control Officer  

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for quality assurance related aspects of all family planning and health products, packaging material and re-packaged products, procured for the Company. Further, the position is also responsible for obtaining licenses from DDA and/or related agencies and ensuring appropriate documentation for all the products as per their specifications.

Required Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s in pharmacy
• Minimum 2 Years’ experience as Quality Control officer in Pharma company or relevant organization

Job Description:

I. Quality check of products procured by this Company 

• Responsible for preparing & review of master production/processing documents as well as all Batches.
• Processing and Packaging Record Keeping.
• Check all the products post their shipment against the specifications such as batch numbers and quantity of goods
• Check all the product shipments received for any damage/shortage.
• Check all documents pertaining to quality check and assurance (such as lab reports, quality certificates, etc.) received are complete in all aspects prior to receipt of shipments by organization
• Ensure necessary permissions, quality certificates, and licenses are obtained for the goods that are procured by the company itself

II. Accomplishment of registration and renewal of product license for every Products.

• Responsible for Product Licensing
• Getting New products registered at the DDA.
• Obtaining of required licenses for production and marketing of the said products.
• Timely renewal of every product license as per the protocol of the GoN.

III. Supervision of Finished / Repackaged Products

• Ensure stacking of all finished products post repackaging are stacked in order of their batch numbers
• Provide line clearance for dispatch of goods after all the checks have been done
• Monitoring of repackaging work as done by repackaging contractor on daily basis

IV. Supervision of Packaging Material

• Check the packaging material for any errors on printing, consistency, and design as per the specifications shared by Organization
• Ensure the quality of packaging material keeping in perspective the toughness and durability as per pre-defined standards
• Inspect and check the facility where repackaging of raw products is being undertaken
• Training to workers on how to repackage the products
• Monitor/Interact the repackaging contractor/agency and their workers

V. Logistics

• Maintain a damaged products log book’ and update the same on a daily basis
• Respond to enquiries concerning drug contents, dosages, regimen reviews, errors, storage, and disposal and respond to Family Planning/Health product related enquiries on behalf of the company and other agencies.

VI. Reports and MIS

• Maintain all the records, reports and documents related to the quality, licenses and permissions of all the products and furnish the information as and when required by the government
