The Job

NAXA is looking for a highly creative, and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team for the development and upgrade of the web platform GeoNadir.As a QA Developer, you will work full time with a fast-paced team on building GeoNadir, a web based application where we are creating the most detailed map of the planet, using crowdsourced drone data, to protect at-risk ecosystems.

Job Specification

• Education Level: Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant field.

• Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience

• Salary: Based on Experience

Required Technical Skills

1. Experience defining and executing test cases for web applications 

2. Empathy for client use with experience examining testing from the cloud.

3. Able to execute automated functional, performance, and stress tests

4. Knowledge and experience in developing project plans, estimating work, and tracking progress against deadlines as well as regular reporting of the progress.

5. Experience executing all product testing components, including functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.

6. Experience working with international clients will be a plus.

Required Human Skills 

1. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.

2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

3. You will be able to achieve outcomes with broad guidance.

4. You will be comfortable with flexible work arrangements, and working with a team dispersed across multiple time zones.

5. Committed to being part of an international team with strong values, and a desire to learn and do better every day as part of a team to achieve collective impact.

Responsibilities for this Role

1. Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

2. Develop and follow quality assurance standards and company processes.

3. Ensure products meet customer expectations and timeframes.

4. Create reports documenting errors and issues for fixing.

5. Create final test documents after completion and before handover of projects.

6. Work closely with the development team to improve existing products.

7. Document every activity involved in the quality assurance process according to company standards.

8. Perform functional testing, unit testing, stress testing etc. as per the requirements of the project.

9. Making use of user story, wire-frames design documents for functional GUI testing purposes.

10. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well- structured test plans and test cases.

11. Take an active role to support the Project Manager in developing project plans, estimating work, and tracking progress against deadlines as well as regular reporting of the progress to the Project Manager and client.

12. Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes.

13. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, deliver software demonstrations to the client.

14. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, plan, assign, prioritize and ensure completion of tasks with quality.
