Protection Nepal invites applications from qualified, committed, and motivated Nepali citizens consultant/ researchers to conduct a "Qualitative Research on Early Child Marriage in Socio economically backward communities of Nijgadh Municipality". The details are mentioned in TOR attached:

Project Name: Integrated Community Health Project (ICHP) Nijgadh, Bara

Implementing Organization: Protection Nepal, Bara

Partnership: United Mission to Nepal (UMN)

Protection Nepal, in partnership with the United mission to Nepal (UMN is implementing the “Integrated Community Health Project (ICHP) Project at Nijgadh Municipality Bara District. This project aims to enhance the well-being of targeted communities in Nijgadh by improving social, physical, and mental health outcomes.

Scope of Work:

The consultant will lead a qualitative study focusing on socio-cultural drivers, community perceptions, and lived experiences related to early child marriage. The assignment includes tool development, data collection, analysis, and report writing.

Duration:

April 2026 (short-term consultancy)

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced degree in sociology, anthropology, public health, gender studies, or related field.
• Proven experience in qualitative research and community-based studies on the issue of children and GBV.
• Experience working with marginalized and indigenous communities.
• Strong understanding of gender, child protection, and social inclusion issues.
