Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) is a national network of peace and human rights non-governmental organizations from different districts of Nepal. It started as a loose, informal forum in June 2001 and was registered with the government of Nepal as a non-profit, non-political network in December 2002. Over the last 22 years, COCAP has progressed largely towards contributing to its vision of creating socially just, inclusive democratic, peaceful and prosperous Nepal.
COCAP has been implementing a project Integrating Social Protection and Livelihood Enhancement for Inclusive Socio-Economic Development in Hetauda, Bagmati province. For effective functioning of the project and secretariats, COCAP invites application from eligible Nepalese citizens who are committed, reliable and have ability to deliver results for the position of Provincial Program Officer- Hetauda, Bagmati Province.
Details are as follows:
Job Title: Provincial Program Officer
No. of position: 1
Duration: 9 months with possibility of extension (three months probation)
Work Station: Hetauda, Bagmati Province
Salary: Negotiable
Reports to: Advocacy Officer/ Executive Director
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop annual and quarterly work plan and budget of the province.
- Implement project activities and programs of COCAP in Province.
- Frequent visit, coordination and technical support to member organizations (MOs) including proposal writing, translations, arranging workshops/discussions and conducting orientation sessions.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual report to meet the reporting requirements. Fundraising for provincial office.
- Financial Reporting to Admin/Finance Coordinator.
- Communicate regularly with provincial committee, national secretariat, MOs and donors.
- Establish working relationship of COCAP and its member organizations with CSOs, GOs and I/NGOs working in the province.
- Maintain an adequate list of office equipment and inventory.
- Ensure the overall security and safety of the office.
- Work under the supervision of line manager, admin & finance and ED.
- Do other works as per need.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any related field.
- Two years of relevant work experience (preferably within I/NGO environment).
- Knowledge and understanding on issues relating to Social Protection, Livelihood, Human Rights, Climate Change, Peace and Democracy in Nepal.
- Fluency as well as strong speaking and writing skills in Nepali and English language.
- Command over MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Networking and Coordination skill.
- Knowledge on Project and Financial Management.
- Preference to locals of Bagmati Province.
- You are citizen of Nepal.
