Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), is a pioneering community based developmental organization established in 1991 in Dolakha. RDTA gained its legal status with registration under Government of Nepal, District Administrative Office, Dolakha in 1991. It is registered in Social Welfare Council and affiliated with NGO Federation of Nepal as well. RDTA is a union of Tukis spread throughout the Dolakha district. Tuki is a community based model leader farmer who is empowered on various social developmental phenomenons and can disseminate what s/he has learned in the community. So, Tukis are agencies for pioneering knowledge dissemination and community development.There are Tukis in almost every village of the district. RDTA aims to uplift the living standard of poor and marginalized peoples. It is determined to give momentum to sustainable community development initiative through good governance, community empowerment, sustainable resource mobilization and institutional development.

Details / requirements:

Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA) is a community based NGO established in 1991 in Dolakha.It has been working in education, child protection, health and nutrition sector in partnership with different organizations. With funding support from European Commission-Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO), in partnership with Save the Children the organization is looking for proactive, self-motivated, qualified, experienced and committed staffs to work for “Promoting inclusive Community Based Disaster Preparedness in the Recovery and Reconstruction of earthquake affected areas of Nepal” project to support for 4 VDC’s (Chhetrapa, Jhyaku, Jungu, and Suri) of Dolakha district. 

Position: Project Manager- 1 Nos for 17 months

QUALIFICATION

  • Masters’ Degree in Social Sciences, rural development, NRM, DRM, development studies and other relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in disaster risk management. 

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Project Manager will be responsible for overall planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and coordination.
  • Organizing planned activities ensuring staff mobilization and reporting to board. S/he will take overall responsibilities for the timely implementation of the project activities and take lead role in preparing project strategy, detail implementation plans.     
  • S/he should work in close coordination with DDRC/DEOC and Save The Children project team.
  • S/he possess excellent coordination & advocacy skills and relationship building and influencing governments, partners & development agencies.
  • S/he should competent in project management including planning, monitoring, financial & budget management.
  • S/he should have excellent report writing skill along with team building skills & ability to work & manage team & capable to undertake challenging task in different working conditions.

Position: IMO for DEOC- 1 Nos for 17 months

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelors’ degree in communication, disaster risk management, social science, natural resource management or other relevant field.
  • Two years’ of work experiences in DRR and Humanitarian organization.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Strengthen capacity of DDRC and DEOC in coordination and information management through data collection, analysis, reporting and dissemination in disaster management. 
  • Support establish strong institution relationship with DDRC, DEOC, DDC and other relevant government agencies, humanitarian partners for effective coordination on disaster preparedness and sustainability of the initiatives. 
  • Take lead role in strengthening information management system in DEOC in facilitating government and humanitarian partners working on DRR sector.

Position: Finance Officer - 1 Nos for 17 months

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelors degree’s in Management (BBS/BBA) with minimum one year of work experience or Bachelor’s degree in Management (MBS/MBA) with minimum three years of work experience in development organizations or project.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Over all responsible in planning, tracking, reporting and documentation of accounting and financial administrative work under the guidance and supervision of Executive Director and Project Manager.
  • Responsible for preparation and submission of financial reports on FAMAS Software

Position: DRR facilitator - 4 Nos for 16 months

QUALIFICATION:

  • Intermediate level or Higher education completed in any discipline with social mobilization training with preferably one year of work experience in community mobilization program

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Over all responsible for VDC level coordination & community mobilization to establish Local/Community Disaster Management Committee through Local /Community Disaster Risk Management Planning
  • Take lead role in planning and implementation of VDC level activities and facilitate integration of DRR and CCA in Village Development Plan 
  • Organize Disaster Risk Reduction awareness and capacity building program at community level ensuring participation of the most vulnerable women, children and other socially excluded people in decision  makinglevel. 
  • Support project manager in conducting risk assessment and collecting relevant project information from field level.
  • Good documentation skills and priority will be given to local candidate.
