About Us:

Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit making organization working in media development since 2002. AFN mainly focuses on production of innovative and distinctive Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) programs for Radio, TV, Online and Social media. AFN has been providing comprehensive, innovative media interventions, through radio and television programs to raise public awareness, sensitize governments for policy formation and reformation, promotes behavioral change for social transformation, and support media advocacy.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Coordinator and Associate Program Producer to join our team and contribute to the implementation of our impactful projects. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in project planning, execution, and monitoring, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of outcomes aligned with our organization's mission and objectives.

1. Position Title: Project Coordinator

Organization: Antenna Foundation Nepal

Workstation: Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities, including meetings, workshops, and field visits, ensuring adherence to project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on key performance indicators to project management and stakeholders.
  • Support in the identification and resolution of project risks, issues, and challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Document project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing and organizational learning purposes.
  • Contribute to project evaluations and assessments, collecting data and feedback to measure impact and inform future project initiatives.
  • Represent Antenna Foundation Nepal in relevant forums, networks, and events, promoting our organization's mission and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, mass communication, social sciences).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or related roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management platforms.
  • Knowledge of development issues in Nepal, particularly in areas related to education, healthcare, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
  • Commitment to Antenna Foundation Nepal's mission and values, including a passion for using media for social change and development.

2. Job title: Associate Program Producer

Organization:  Antenna Foundation Nepal

Workstation: Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur

Responsibilities:

The Associate Program Producer will spearhead the production process of diverse audiovisual and new media programs at AFN. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive oversight of production from inception to completion, encompassing research, scripting, and hosting/narration across various formats such as talk-shows, narratives, radio magazines, and social videos. This role involves extensive travel for content collection and quality assurance, provision of constructive feedback to partner FM stations, development of promotional materials, audience feedback analysis, program summarization for dissemination, active participation in meetings, implementation of media and outreach initiatives, meticulous maintenance of project documentation, liaison with partners, facilitation of resource development, preparation of technical reports, and leadership in capacity-building training for media producers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mass communication, journalism, media, social sciences, or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated 3-4 years of experience in media for development roles
  • Exceptional intercultural communication proficiency
  • Proven track record as a collaborative team player with adept facilitation and mentoring capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and resilience in high-pressure work environments
  • Unwavering commitment to exemplary development practices and inclusivity
  • Outstanding planning skills coupled with a swift response to dynamic requirements
  • Keen ability to identify programmatic deficiencies, provide detailed reports to stakeholders, and collaborate with project teams to enhance outcomes
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English
