VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
(Published Date: July 29, 2026)
Established in 1990, Banke UNESCO Club is a non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office, Banke, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. The establishment of the organization was inspired by the ideals of non-violence, social justice, self-reliance, sustainable development, and volunteerism.
The organization is committed to promoting holistic and integrated development, guided by a harmonious balance of socio-cultural, material, scientific, and environmental dimensions. Its mission is to enhance the literacy rate among disadvantaged, marginalized, deprived, and the poorest of the poor (POP) groups, with particular emphasis on women and children, by providing access to quality education.
Banke UNESCO Club has been engaged in a long-term partnership with Plan International Nepal. At present, the organization is collaborating with Plan International Nepal to implement the Youth Empowerment for Transformation and Innovation (YETI) Project in Bardiya District.
The overarching goal of the project is to foster the economic empowerment of adolescent girls, young women, and marginalized youth, enabling them to drive inclusive, climate-resilient, and market-oriented economies. The initiative seeks to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to establish and manage sustainable enterprises. It emphasizes cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset that empowers youth to identify, develop, and scale innovative business ideas aligned with emerging local market opportunities.
Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen and institutionalize enterprise development support systems, ensuring that young people can access business development services and resources essential for entrepreneurship and enterprise growth. It envisions building a coherent, accessible, and sustainable support ecosystem that systematically connects youth with enterprise development services and markets.
In addition, the project focuses on enhancing access to appropriate financial services, enabling young women and marginalized youth to transition effectively from training to sustainable entrepreneurship. It also prioritizes the development of a supportive policy and institutional environment that allows youth particularly young women and marginalized groups to thrive as entrepreneurs and innovators.
Banke UNESCO Club now invites applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated candidates to join the team in implementing the YETI Project in Bardiya District.
