Working for Access and Creation Nepal (WAC-Nepal) is nonprofit, non-government and nonpolitical humanitarian development organization has been implementing Integrated Nutrition and Resilient Livelihood Technical Program (NRL TP) in partnership with World Vision International Nepal. The project is implementing in Mellkeh Rural Municipality, Sanafebagar Municipality, Panchadewal Binayak Municiality and Kamalbazar Municipality of Achham District. WAC- Nepal is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on the following position for smooth implementation of the project. 

Position: Program Officer - Livelihood (1 Person)

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor degree in Agriculture Science or relevant discipline with at least two years' experience in livelihood development area (preferably in Market led agriculture, Agri-value chain development models, natural resource management and building community resilience). Experience in WV’s core project models (BSL, UPG, S4T and LVCD), and longer experience in hilly contexts are preferred. Good Understanding on operational issues like timely and quality delivery of services, good planning, budget and monitoring skill. Having two-wheeler/motorbike driving license. Proficient in communicating in English language (verbal and writing) and familiar in MS office packages (word, excel, power-point), handling zoom and Ms teams’ meetings plus email communications.

Major Responsibility:

  • Support targeting and verify selection of participating households
  • Supervise and mentor Facilitators so that they can perform their duties effectively
  • Support project coordinator in oversee interventions to ensure effective and timely implementation
  • Oversee participant performance through household spot checks
  • Develop training curriculum and train Facilitators on the Graduation programme objectives, implementation process, and expected outcomes
  • Identify basic services including health, education, safety nets, and community support groups, that participants can be linked with and make a plan of engagement
  • Regularly review-monitoring data to ensure programme implementation activities and participants’ progress are on track and report the progress.
  • Liaise regularly with field level staff and senior management about programme progress, challenges, learning, and decisions
  • Promote and support Savings for Transformation (S4T) in the community.
  • Facilitate & support for economic empowerment of most vulnerable especially women.
  • Contribute to evidence building for livelihoods
