The Organic Valley Private Limited (hereafter referred as ‘TOV’) was established in 2011 with aim of making significant difference in the field of organic agro production and trading. Its corporate office lies in Bakhundole, Lalitpur. TOV is a pioneer in promoting Organic Agriculture and food practices in Nepal. It has been the first of its kind to Trade Organic Products from Nepal to various countries in the World. TOV is involved in various projects as well as retail market since its inception. It has been continuously striving to obtain market in national and international arena for organic products.

Details / requirements:

Job Station: Kathmandu with 50% Field Visit

Salary : 40,000 - 50,000/- per month (Total cost to the Company)

   
Job Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Program Department in developing new projects and implementing ongoing projects with cluster team.                                                                                                                        
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks associated with the implementation of programs and projects, and coordinate the development   of mitigation measures with team.

  • In coordination with the Directors and Program Manager, build external relationships and engagement with government line  agencies,      other INGOs, and the private sector at local, district and provincial levels.

  • Establish effective linkages and partnerships with all units of the organization for smooth design, implementation/learning and monitoring   and evaluation of programs.

  • Contribute to program implementation (recruitment, project start-up, action plan, target, KPI’s, inception, project review and reflection,     baseline and evaluation) to ensure program quality as necessary.

  • Prepare Progress Narrative Reports as per the requirement of the project and partners.

  • When supervising others, manage staff to enable their optimum performance.

  • Frequent field visit to project intervention areas.


Job Requirements:


  • Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or other related fields                                                                                                     
  • At least 3 years of experience in the development sector (project/ program management)

  • Proven Project Management Experience and tools (Proposal Writing, Budgeting, Reporting).

  • Familiarity with current development practices, policies and organizations – National/International.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali.

  • Strong ability to work in a team and coordinate tasks and responsibilities.

  • Ability to use computer applications.
