About KSSC-Nepal

Kalika Self-reliance Social Centre (KSSC-Nepal) is a non-governmental, non-profit social development organization committed to improving the livelihoods and well-being of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Nepal. KSSC-Nepal is implementing the ACT in Food Security Project in partnership with Andheri Hilfe to enhance food and nutrition security, climate-resilient agriculture, community empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods in Bijaynagar Rural Municipality, Kapilvastu.

KSSC-Nepal invites applications from qualified, committed, and dynamic Nepali citizens for the following position. Position Summary

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of the ACT in Food Security Project. The position will work closely with local governments, community groups, farmers' organizations, project stakeholders, and the development partner to ensure quality implementation and achievement of project objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in accordance with approved plans and donor requirements.
• Coordinate with local governments, line agencies, community institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
• Provide technical leadership on food security, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
• Promote nutrition rights, social inclusion, gender equality, and community participation throughout project implementation.
• Support advocacy initiatives related to food security, nutrition, agriculture, and local policy development.
• Ensure quality documentation, data management, and timely submission of technical and donor reports.
• Facilitate capacity-building activities, training, workshops, and community mobilization.
• Monitor project progress, identify implementation challenges, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor guidelines, safeguarding standards, and financial procedures.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Academic Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Agriculture from a recognized university. 

Professional Experience

• Minimum three years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing food security, nutrition, agriculture, or livelihood projects.
• Demonstrated experience in Food Security, Nutrition Rights, and Advocacy.
• Experience working with local governments, farmer groups, community-based organizations, and development partners.
• Experience in project planning, monitoring, reporting, budgeting, and donor compliance.
• Previous experience working with INGOs or NGOs, projects will be an advantage.

Required Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of food security, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, climate-resilient agriculture, and sustainable livelihoods.
• Excellent coordination, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, report writing, and documentation skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Nepali language.
• Ability to communicate in the local Awadhi language will be considered a strong advantage.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.

Salary and Benefits

Salary and benefits shall be provided according to the organization's rules and the approved project budget, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
