Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and controlling the company's production operations to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and in accordance with approved quality standards, production plans, customer requirements, and delivery schedules.

The position oversees production activities, manages production personnel and resources, coordinates with Production Planning, Quality Control and other relevant departments, and continuously works to improve productivity, product quality, resource utilization, and operational efficiency while minimizing production delays, wastage, rework, and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
• Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency, downtime, rework, rejection, and material wastage.
• Ensure production activities comply with approved quality standards, procedures, customer requirements, and work instructions.
• Manage, supervise, allocate, and develop production personnel to ensure effective manpower utilization and team performance.
• Ensure the timely availability and efficient utilization of raw materials, equipment, manpower, and other production resources.
• Maintain and review production records, reports and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Warehouse, Maintenance, Packaging and Dispatch departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Identify production problems and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the timely fulfillment of customer orders and achievement of production and delivery commitments.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, or operations management, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience in handicraft, textile, wool, felt, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Experience in managing production teams and coordinating multiple production processes will be an added advantage.
