Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to support the effective and efficient functioning of the Procurement Unit at the Country Office by managing procurement, buying, and invoicing processes through the ProSave system in compliance with Save the Children policies and procedures. The role is responsible for coordinating air ticketing services for staff, supporting logistics for workshops and events, and ensuring timely procurement and delivery of goods and services for programs.

The position holder will work closely with program teams, suppliers, finance, and field offices to facilitate procurement processes, maintain supplier records and compliance, and ensure accurate documentation and payment processing. The role will also support partner capacity building, maintain procurement tracking systems, and contribute to strengthening procurement systems and practices within the Supply Chain Department. Field visits may be required as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or related disciplines
• 3 years’ experience in procurement of goods and services
• Experience in development sector will be an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills in English and Nepali
• Proactive and assertive
• High personal integrity, demonstrating openness and transparency in dealing with vendors
• Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in multicultural environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values, vision and mission.

• Good negotiation skills
• Adequate market information such as potential supplier, market price etc.
• Good public relations and approachable
• Knowledge of donors’ requirements related to procurement
