Job Description

As the business expands, a high-paced cross-border e-commerce startup in the Middle East and Europe with the Kathmandu team is searching for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to design, develop, and maintain our suite of web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire back-end lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and manage data in MySQL.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to connect our applications with internal and external services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Laravel and PHP best practices.
• Implement comprehensive testing suites using PHPUnit to ensure code reliability and performance.
• Manage application deployment and server environments on web servers like Apache or Nginx.
• Build google script as per the requirement of the operation team.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Requirements:

• Strong command of the PHP language and its ecosystems, with a proven focus on the Laravel framework.
• In-depth understanding of Laravel's features, architecture (Eloquent, Service Container, Middleware, etc.), and best practices.
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly MySQL, including schema design, optimization, and complex query writing.
• Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Firm grasp of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern.
• Experience with testing methodologies and tools, specifically PHPUnit for unit and integration testing.
• Proficient in using Git for version control in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Vue.js or React.
• Knowledge of server management and deployment processes for Apache/Nginx.
• Comfortable working with the command line for Laravel Artisan commands, migrations, and server management.
