The Dalit Help Society (DHS) is Dalit led NGO, founded in 2063 BS and officially affiliated with the Social Welfare Council in 2064 BS, is headquartered in Jayaprithvi Municipality, Bajhang. DHS focuses on creating an equitable and prosperous society, particularly through social empowerment and development initiatives for marginalized communities such as Dalits, ultra-poor and deprives. DHS is heavily engaged in various components of community development through various project reaching out to the children, adolescent, youth, women, People with disabilities, conflicts and disaster survivors from marginalized and underprivileged groups.

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), DHS is implementing Child Wellbeing and Integrated Programing Framework (IPF) in Jayaprithvi Municipality and Kedarsyu Rural Municipality of Bajhang district. Therefore, now DHS is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens for the post of NCG Officer for smooth implementation of the project.

NCG Officer

1 Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Community Nursing or other relevant field with at least three years of experience in health/nutrition project management, preferably having worked in close coordination with government institutions like rural/municipality, health facility, previous District Health Office etc.
  • Strong understanding of maternal, child health and nutrition (Infant and Young Child Feeding practices (IYCF), Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), Multi sector Nutrition Plan (MSNP), Nutrition Friendly Local Governance and 16th Periodic Plan.
  • Knowledge of existing Government policies, strategies and training packages particularly CNSI, Family MUAC, IYCF, GMP and IMAM.
  • Sound knowledge on behavior changes communication approaches, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approach
  • Good understanding of operation issues like timely delivery of services, good planning and monitoring skills.
  • Skills to analyze project related data and incorporate in the report
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain management
  • Good report writing skills for semi-annual and annual reports
  • Sound skills in capacity assessment/training need assessment process and tools for staffs and target group
  • Skills on project staff mentoring and onsite support
  • Project database (such as near real time monitoring, GMP database, beneficiary tracking) establishment and interpretation skills
  • Skilled in using Microsoft office applications.
