Partnership with Plan International from 2018 April CAD Jumla has been implementing Child sponsorship integrated child centered community development Project in Sinja , Hima & Kanaksundari Rural Municipality Jumla. 

For gender equality and ending harmful traditional practices such as Child, Early and forced marriage, chhaupadietc strengthening child protection mechanism, empowering adolescent & youths and changing social norms through awareness and engagement of community and religious leaders.

From July 2020 we are going to implement Preventing Child , Early  and Forced Marriage Project  in HimaSinja & Kanakasundari RM of Jumla partnership with Plan International Nepal with the objectives “To contribute  achieving children, especially girls, have equal opportunity to grow in a free, safe and inclusive environment where they can learn, lead, decide and thrive &Protected them from Child, Early & Forced Marriage .  

In this context, Collaborative Action for Dignity (CAD) Jumla invites application from interested and eligible candidates for the following position for the successful implementation of the Preventing Child , Early  and Forced Marriage Project.

1. Position : Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer

Required Number : 1

Duty Station: Sinja Rural Municipality

Main duties & responsibilities:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for design & implement the monitoring, evaluation & learning framework of the project. He or She will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative & quantitative evidence gathered by the Project. He or She will provide technical assistance to the project staff, particularly in relation to monitoring & reporting to child protection & Gender Base Violence issues.

Specific Duties:

  • Ensure the proper implementation of Project Monitoring frame work.
  • Support project staff to develop annual project plan and track the progress against it.  
  • Carry out routine field monitoring and share the findings to project staff and Plan MERL section.
  • Enhance capacity of non MERL staff on MERL requirements and system.
  • Collect routine data of the project, compile and review to ensure the quality of deliver and report to Plan. 
  • Analysis monthly, Semiannual & annual coverage/ People reached by the project components  focused on SC, and other marginalized groups  Ensure project objectives are achieved. 
  • Carry out accountability and learning initiatives in the field and ensure the proper documentation. Ensure the feedback received form stakeholders are addressed during implementation of the project. 
  • Support to prepare periodic project progress report.
  • Provide necessary feedback to project staff where as required and support for course correction during implementation. 
  • Prepare Monthly MERL report of the project. 
  • Ensure the quality of data and information’s generated through the project, handle project data with confidentiality.
  • Qualitative information and project impact in the field are documented. 
  • Support to prepare project implementation guidelines.
  • Assist Plan’s MERL team for periodic project monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Establish sound relation and coordination with stakeholders and line agencies and funding partner.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and up to date documentation of all cases of child protection & GBV and others information related to project, make it retrievable where and when required. 
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science, or other relevant field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation in development projects, working with government agencies strongly preferred.
  • Excellent in Microsoft office package. 
  • English fluency, both written and verbal, is required.

2. Position: Field Officer 

Required Numbers : 2

Location: Kanakasundari & Sija Rural Municipality 

Main duties & responsibilities:

The Project Officer must ensure and be responsible for providing technical support to local level and for implementation of community based activities as designed in project in close coordination with local level. He/ She will be responsible to coordinate with concerned government stakeholders & like minded organization working in the project area.  He will be responsible to develop innovative methodologies, modules, mechanisms to achieve project goal as well as lead influencing agendas.

Specific Duties:

  • Implement all field level activities targeting beneficiaries to achieve expected outcomes. 
  • Carry out regular monitoring, follow up and supervision of project activities along with target communities, local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of activities and reporting with quality of data/information including case study, success story and documentation of best practices
  • Support Team Leader to conduct review meeting of project, reporting and coordination with local stakeholders on regular basis
  • Capacity building of CSO networks and support them for Lobby Advocacy with local government for incorporating child protection, Gender Base violence, & Child Marriage issues to their planning.
  • Conduct campaign to protect children from Child Marriage or other harmful practices& Gender Base Violence issues.
  • Assist supervisor to explore/develop and strengthen networking of organizations to share information/lessons learned, to disseminate findings of project in regular basis.
  • Maintain transparent expenditure of project budget and financial management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science, or other relevant field .
  • At least 3 years' experience in the development projects, working with government agencies strongly preferred in similar role.
  • Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Typing skills in both English and Nepali preferred. 
  • English fluency, both written and verbal, is required.
