Conscious Impact Nepal is a local NGO in partnership with a registered US-based 501c3 nonprofit (Conscious Impact). Conscious Impact Nepal is dedicated to long-term, rural, resilience-building development work in Sindhupalchok. Our work began in response to the 2015 earthquakes and has evolved to program areas of agriculture & agroforestry, youth empowerment & education, and community-led infrastructure projects. We have supported dozens of families in home reconstruction, provided thousands of high-market value trees for farmers, and inspired hundreds of young people to connect more deeply to themselves and their life experiences. Additionally Conscious Impact hosts tourists from all around the world, offering a cultural immersion, service-learning experience. We have hosted more than 850 people here in Takure, Sindhupalchok over the last 5 years, giving foreigners and Nepali tourists an opportunity to learn and understand local Nepali life and culture. Our participants take dinners in community homes, celebrate local festivals and weddings alongside community members, work with local farmers in their fields to learn about food growing like rice cultivation, work alongside local staff and community members to help irrigate land and improve farmer livelihoods, and work with local youth in extracurricular education.
