TPO Nepal is implementing a project named “Mental Health and psycho-social well-being of children, caregivers and vulnerable population improved through promotion, response and support activities” funded by UNICEF, which aims to promote the psychological well-being of children, adolescents, caregivers, and vulnerable persons in need of psychosocial support.

 

TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed and result-oriented candidate for the following position:

Job Title                         :     M & E and Documentation Officer

Job station                     :     Surkhet (Frequent Field visit)

Major responsibilities

The M & E and Documentation Officer will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the project lead to ensure that the documentation and reports of the project are compiled, and produced qualitatively within the appropriate time frame, work plans, objectives and approaches.

  • Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with adolescents, caregivers, teachers, service providers and relevant stakeholders.

  • Conduct process documentation during co-creation, translation/adaptation, pilot-testing and finalization of the proposed intervention.

  • Transcribe and translate the interviews and discussions and assist in preparing the report as envisioned by the project.

  • Translate globally available standard intervention packages and conduct thorough process documentation of adaptation/contextualization.

  • Prepared form, format, tool and orient to project team as per the project requirement.

  • Assist in preparing periodic reports, brochures and policy briefs and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for wider dissemination via social media and publications

  • Provide support to the project team during meetings and events including the preparation of the agenda, preparing minutes and others.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, global health/global mental health, social work, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferable.

  • Minimum one year of experience in M& E, research and/or process documentation, or having sound knowledge of monitoring and evaluation framework (e.g. logical framework, theory of change, etc.).

  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken Nepali and English languages.

  • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment.

  • Willingness to stay and travel to remote areas.

  • Having a driving license for a motorbike or scooter will be an advantage.

  • Having adequate knowledge of Child Protection and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).

  • Attitude for learning new things and enjoying teamwork.
