Type of Post: Casual Labour (Initially for 40-50 days per year depending on job requirement.) This Job Vacancy is open to all.

About the job:

Introduction:

Casual labour will work under Brigade and Unit Welfare Office (BUWO), BGN, and will be responsible to look after the security, maintenance and upkeep of the welfare bungalow located in Kakani.

Job description:

• The physical security of the bungalow and compound.
• Cleaning the bungalow daily; kitchen, toilets & other rooms to a high standard.
• Regular maintenance of garden and outdoor areas.
• Maintenance and security of all items located in the compound, including household items.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the house is aired; any mould on walls, furniture or fittings is removed and reported if serious.
• Clean and maintain the house and garden daily.
• Account for and secure all items; both indoors and outdoors.
• Ensure all the stores (i.e. water, cooking gas, generator fuel, cleaning materials, toiletries etc) are always maintained at appropriate stock level.
• Check in/out the guests and brief them on facilities and safety.
• Report any faults/damages to BUWO.
• Clear electricity and water bills when due and submit invoices to the BGN accountant.
• Any other duties as directed by the BUWO.

Applicant should have basic spoken English and good Nepali language skills. Proven experience, qualifications, and training is preferable for this role to deliver the job responsibility effectively and efficiently. You will be assessed on your Health and Safety at work knowledge and physical fitness to qualify for interviews during the sifting and selection process. Candidates with Secondary Education (SLC/SEE) with reasonable standard of English language and relevant experience are preferred.

• Salary NPR 276.05 per hour
• Duty hours: 40 hours a week

Security:

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a Govt of Nepal Police Report for employment in Nepal.
