Seto Gurans National Child Development Services, Lalitpur (SGNCDS) is a long-standing organization committed for Early Childhood Development. It is registered as an Educational Non-Government organization. Seto Guras in partnership with Handicap international is implementing the program entitled "Strengthening the Inclusion of Children with disabilities in Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) for Inclusive ECED", therefore vacancy announcement to fulfill the following positions.

Seto Gurans NCDS invites application from qualified candidates for the following position:

Itinerant Teachers – 1 Position

Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term Contract 

Location: Chandrapur Municipality, Rautahat 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develops short and long-range plans consistent with curriculum goals, Childrens' diversity, and learning theory.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of functional assessments, utilization of assistive devices, supports transitions within the educationally setting; while supporting the transference of skills across settings including home and community.
• Prepare IFSP and IELP plan focusing the children with disabilities and families.
• Provides in-service (formal and informal) for mainstream teachers and other support personnel as appropriate, including suggestions for environmental modifications, preferential seating, communication, understanding the impact of disabilities, and use of assistive technology or devices.
• Use of social model of disability and UDL approaches in children learning process.
• Prepares and utilizes assessment methodologies to adapt for individual students as appropriate, including physical adaptations to meet a student's individual needs.
• Effectively communicates/consults with parents and teachers, including HT SMC PTA members and others including related personnel and school nurses general education and special education teachers, related services personnel and school nurse.
• Regular evaluation and progress tracking to the children with disabilities and reporting to MEAL officer with actual data.
• Serve children who require educational services due to functional limitation.
• Address the educational, communication, functional and socio-emotional needs of the children and provide guidance to the parents and school personnel.
• Travel to multiple community to directly serve children and effectively consults with a variety of people to identify children with functional limitations and address the individual children needs.

Qualification and Skills Required: 

• + 2/Bachelor preferred In Education/ Inclusive Education/ Child Development/social work.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct support to ECD teachers specific target to children with disabilities. Have understanding of disability inclusive education with practical strategics to apply UDL approaches and have basic knowledge on braille and sign language & strategics related to developmental disability.  Required knowledge and experience on effective facilitation skills for capacity building initiatives. Skilled on electronic communication, office packages i.e.  MS WORD, EXCEL AND POWER POIN and having valid driving license of two-wheeler is additional value.
