Title: Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Solar Power Backup System

1. Background

Fair Trade Group (FTG) Nepal, under the SUSTAIN Project, invites sealed bids from eligible, registered, and qualified renewable energy companies and authorized suppliers for the Design, Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of a Solar Power Backup System for its field office in Athbiskot, Rukum West.

The system must provide reliable and uninterrupted power to support the following daily office load:

• 5 Laptops
• 2 Printers
• 3 Fans
• 1 Electric Kettle

2. Scope of Work

The selected bidder shall be responsible for a complete turnkey solution, encompassing the supply, transportation to the Athbiskot site, installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of the following primary components:

• Inverter: One (1) Unit of 2000 VA (2 KVA) Solar Hybrid Inverter (24V system).
• Battery Bank: Two (2) Units of 12V, 200 Ah deep-cycle batteries (configured in series for 24V).
• Solar PV Modules: High-efficiency solar panels (Total capacity to be calculated and proposed by the bidder to adequately charge the 200 Ah battery bank).
• Balance of System (BoS): All necessary mounting structures, DC/AC cabling, charge controllers, breakers, earthing (grounding), and accessories required for a safe, fully functional system.

3. Technical Requirements & Safeguards

• Inverter Specification: Pure Sine Wave Solar Hybrid Inverter with inbuilt protections (overload, short circuit, deep discharge, and surge protection). Note: The bidder must ensure the proposed 2 KVA inverter can handle the peak surge load of the printers and the high wattage of the electric kettle.
• Battery Specification: 12V, 200 Ah Tubular Gel or SMF VRLA preferred for deep cycle applications.
• Solar Panels & Mounting: Monocrystalline or Polycrystalline panels. Mounting structures must be rust-proof (Galvanized Iron or Aluminum) and securely anchored to withstand high wind loads.

4. Eligibility Criteria & Required Documents

Interested bidders must submit the following documents inside their proposal envelope:

1. Copy of Firm/Company Registration Certificate.
2. Copy of VAT/PAN Registration Certificate.
3. Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate for the most recent Fiscal Year.
4. Company Profile highlighting previous experience with similar solar installations.
5. Technical Data Sheets / Brochures of the proposed Inverter, Batteries, and Solar Panels.
6. Detailed Financial Proposal (must be inclusive of equipment costs, transportation to Athbiskot, installation charges, and applicable taxes).
