Background Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal is implementing a internationally funded project calledThe Mainstreaming Inclusive Sports in Nepal” that aims  at enhancing social inclusion, participation, and equality through sports. The project works with government bodies, civil society organizations, sports associations, and communities to create accessible and inclusive sporting environments for all, including persons with disabilities, women and  youth.

To support effective project implementation, the project is seeking a qualified and motivated staff for Project manager.

Project: Mainstreaming Inclusive Sports in Nepal

Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent field visits

Duration: Full-time  for maximum of  44 months , subjected to annual renewal on the basis of work performance

Key responsibilities:

The Project manager will be responsible for overseeing daily project operations, ensuring timely implementation of activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to project reporting, monitoring, and communication. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and partnership-building skills, and a commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity through sports.

Key Responsibilities

To serve as the head of all project staff.

Coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in alignment with the project work plan and donor grant requirements.

  • Liaise with government counterparts, sports federations, municipalities, partner organizations, and community groups to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Support the development of training modules, advocacy materials, and events promoting inclusive sports.
  • Oversee logistics, budgeting, procurement, and compliance processes in coordination with the project and finance teams.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, activity updates, and documentation required by the donor and organizational policies.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor project activities, assess progress, and provide technical support to partners.
  • Ensure gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding, and accountability principles are integrated across all project components.
  • Organize project review meetings, workshops, and public events.
  • Maintain accurate project records, data, and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project management Committee or other  Senior Committees.

Maintain financial control and mismanagement of the fund

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Sports Management, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 3-–5 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in development or sports-related programming.
  • Experience working in  internationally   -funded or other donor-funded projects is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with government stakeholders and civil society partners.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and presentation skills in English and Nepali.
  • Proficiency in project monitoring tools, documentation, and MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites frequently.
