Community Development Center, Nepal (CDC, Nepal) is a non-governmental, Non-Profit organization established in 2065 B.S and registered in District Administration Office Nuwakot and affiliated with social welfare council. The organization is actively working in the area of Good governance, community development, community empowerment, capacity development, food security & resilience, Disaster risk reduction and Climate change adaptation, poverty elevation, WASH etc. CDC- Nepal is community based organizations working actively in grassroots for sustainable livelihood outcomes through community empowerment; participatory, gender mainstreaming; GESI, inclusive and rights based approach. The organization has been providing services to marginalized, vulnerable and earthquake affected people for accessing local level resources. The organization aims to improve the health status of people and protect the environment by encouraging to build the improved cook-stove. CDC, Nepal is also helping livelihood sustainability programs. CDC Nepal is helping local people to recover from recent disaster with the help of Save the Children under ERR project in the sector of livelihood, health, child protection, Education, Wash, physical facilities etc. CDC, Nepal is partner with Local Governance and Community Development Program (LGCDP), Save the Children, Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF), UNICEF, UNDP, DFID, Care Nepal.

Reporting and Documentation Officer

Job description: 

The Data Documentation Officer is primarily responsible for data management, monitoring/data verification, write success stories and assist in periodic update & report writing at community level and district level. Under the overall guidance from program Manager and close coordination with program staff, s/he should work closely with DFIDproject team at district as well as MEAL team at the Centre.

Key responsibilities:

R.1.Data Management

1.1. Update, maintain and report day to day data record  based on attendance sheet, and record meeting/training/workshop minute in prescribed format in the computer

1.2. Prepare complete training database immediately after completion of activities and report update to MEAL department of SCI at center.

1.3. Ensure use of standard tools and template at the district as well as community level.

1.4. Collect program data from program staff and enter them timely in prescribed software by SCI district Office. 

1.5. Assist Program Coordinator to ensure the Field Supervisor’s report with complete information. 

1.6.Prepare preliminary analysis report from DFIDdatabase system and support Program Coordinator on report generation. 

1.7. Ensure safe storage of data (both electronic and hard copies) and make available when needed.

1.8. Participate Data Quality Assessment (DQA) and maintain the standard.

R2. Monitoring:

2.1. Make regular field visit to collect and data verification and support to follow MEAL system at district.  

2.2. Conduct household visit to interact with beneficiaries on need basis using prescribed integrated checklist.

2.3. Collect and compile routine data and provide feedback to Field Supervisors and other program staff.

2.4. Participate in intensive monitoring visit along with SCI district, cluster and central team.

2.5. Participate in LQAS/annual monitoring survey and assist in data entry in the district.

2.6. Collection, compilation and production of case studies and success stories.

R3.Documentation

3.1. Regular collection and review of progress report submitted by Field Supervisor.

3.2. Collect and compile reports including regular periodic report, tools and event completion report from Field Supervisor and develop appropriate filing system.

3.3. Produce hard copy documents, progress report, data, case studies and other documents in consultation with Program Coordinator and Executive Officer/Director

3.4. Prepare case studies and success stories focusing the highlights of achievements.

R4. Reporting:

4.1. Support Field Supervisor/ Program Coordinator on preparing activities and event report

4.2. Assist and support Program Coordinator to prepare program update, presentation for sharing during the meeting and workshop.

4.3. Disseminate program related information in different forum and through media in consultation with Program Manager and Sr. Cluster Coordinator.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor in Social studies, Rural Development, BPH, MPH, BSc nursing, BM or related subject with more than 3 years of experience in Social sector. Preferance will be given to Master Degree in social science or Rural development with experience.
