The Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) Dadeldhura is a value-based, action-oriented, autonomous, and non-profit making, secular and non-political non-governmental development organization established in 2055 BS by a group of youth professionals having keen spread and profound experience on community development activities. MPDS pursues and advocates an empowerment and right-based approach to development while working for self-reliant society. It aims to create a creative, healthy, equitable and inclusive society on the basis of social inclusion and institutionalize the concept of participatory approach for socio-economic development of grassroots communities; and targets as its beneficiaries those groups of people who are socio-economically and politically neglected and excluded. A realistic mix of service delivery towards critical minimum basic needs is also pursued through self-help development. It attempts to users in a just, equitable, healthy, inclusive and accountable system, embracing ideals such as peace, freedom, justice, prosperity and happiness.

Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) has signed a contract with RTI International for implementing and managing the community mobilization component of the Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) in Kailali district. The overall purpose of the community mobilization of EGRP is to increase family and community support for improvement of early grade reading for children from grades one to three. MPDS will work directly with School, SMC, PTA, Early Grade Reading sub-committee and all relevant community forums in close coordination with Education Development and Coordination Section at district level and municipalities in local for implementing activities related to community mobilization of EGRP in Kailali.

Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions to implement community mobilization component of EGRP in Kailali district. Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Coordinator (MEDC) is responsible to implement the monitoring and evaluation framework of community mobilization activities and produce and organize project related document reports, fact sheets, etc. of community mobilization of Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) to increase family and community support for Early Grade Reading project in Kailali district.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or related field
  • Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation framework 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in designing platform, recording progress, producing documentation/reports and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in team leadership and coordination. 
  • Experience in research, database management is preferred. 
  • Strong IT background, specially advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, SPSS and other database platform 
  • Strong  oral and written communication and report writing skills in English and Nepali
