Established in 1997, SEBAC-Nepal is a national-level NGO. SEBAC-Nepal working in various thematic areas such as Livelihood/Agriculture/Economic Recovery; Rural Infrastructure; Nutrition, Health and Education; Governance, Gender Advocacy and Empowerment; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management/Natural Resource and Biodiversity Management/Climate Change. Under the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Program, the organization invites applications from qualified, dynamic, motivated, and result-oriented Nepali citizens for the following position based in Achham district.

Position: Functionality and Maintenance Supervisor

• Number of Positions: 1(one)
• Duty Station: Kamalbazar Municipality / Panchadewal Binayak Municipality, Achham
• Supervisor: Program Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• The Functionality and Maintenance Supervisor will be primarily responsible for facilitating to implement of annual plans to improve the functionality of drinking water and sanitation schemes and strengthen maintenance systems under the Integrated Water Resources Management Program and Hello Dhara Initiative within the working municipalities of Achham district.
• Facilitate municipalities in improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) systems for the sustainability of drinking water schemes. Facilitate for establishment/strengthening of WASH Unit/Water Supply Management Board and facilitate its effective functioning.
• Support the formation, legal registration, capacity building, and institutional development of Water User and Sanitation Committees (WUSCs).
• Coordinate to conduct feasibility studies, prepare cost estimations, contract processes, and implementation support for scheme maintenance and repair activities. Support Users' Committees in conducting capacity-building training and activities and assisting in their institutional development.
• Facilitate baseline/endline surveys, public hearings, social audits, and verification of sensors installed in water supply systems.
• Manage and update WASH functionality dashboards, grievance handling systems, and data entry into the NWASH platform.

Qualification and Experience:

• Intermediate / 10+2 in any discipline with at least 5 years of experience in water supply project implementation, operation, and maintenance; OR
• Pre-Diploma / Sub-Overseer in Civil Engineering having at least 2 years of experience in water supply project implementation, operation, and maintenance with overall of 3 years work experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), email/internet, and data management/analysis.
• Able to conduct regular monitoring, coaching, and training of schemes, and facilitate the updating of data of the concerned municipalities' schemes in NWASH platform.
• Familiarity with WASH sector planning, WUSC capacity strengthening, and GESI-responsive community mobilization.
• Having valid two-wheeler driving license.
• Preference: Local candidates residing permanently within the program municipalities of Achham district will be given priority.
