Finance Officer

Job Description: 

The Code Fusion team is is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Finance Officer to take on a crucial role in upholding the financial well-being and integrity of the organization. This role entails overseeing financial transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and actively contributing to the organization's financial health. The responsibilities will extend to overseeing all administrative, accounting, legal, and financial procedures and tools, contributing to the seamless execution of these critical functions.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with relevant departments to develop annual budgets.

• Monitor and report on budget performance, providing insights into variances.

• Oversee daily financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system/software.

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational needs.

• Coordinate with external tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.

• Conduct regular financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

• Develop proposals, respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP), and prepare quotations and cost estimates.

• Interact with vendors to manage financial transactions, negotiate terms, and resolve issues.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and evaluate vendor performance.

• Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.

• Provide necessary documentation and support during audit processes.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proven 2+ years of experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of GON rules and regulations, acts and policies, accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
