Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra (RRPK) is an NGO dedicated to developing rural communities in Education, Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Livelihood, Human Rights, Safer Migration, gender and empowerment, good governance, Disaster Risk Reduction and WASH in Nepal since 2004. It works with a mission to improve the lives of people through economic, social, cultural and physical transformation.

Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizen only) for the following position.

1) Position: Field Coordinator (Livelihood) – 1

Term: Fixed Term Contract 

Reports to: Senior Project Coordinator

Location: Malangawa, Sarlahi

Working Area: Godaita and Balara Municipality

Purpose of the Role

The Field Coordinator will operate under the guidance of the Senior Project Coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of project activities, adhering to established standards and strategies. This role demands extensive field travel to project sites and collaboration with stakeholders to promote sustainable livelihoods focusing on the Smart Agriculture related initiatives, and enterprise development efforts.  

The position involves direct coordination with local governments, public agencies, and private organizations to integrate project objectives with the broader developmental landscape, ensuring long-term impact. The Field Coordinator is tasked with managing program planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, technical support, and reporting under the sponsorship program's child poverty theme.  

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science with at least 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in Agriculture or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Terai context. in commercial vegetable farming in the Terai region, particularly in climate smart agriculture, market linkages, and business promotion through micro enterprises and vocational training; 
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial vegetable farming, including: Climate smart agriculture (CSA) practices. Improved production technologies and good agricultural practices (GAP), Farmer field schools, demonstrations plot of on farm 
  • Skills to facilitate relevant training, workshop, meeting and seninars
  • Strong skills in program planning, budgeting, and operational management.
  • Sound understanding of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL).
  • Experience coordinating with local governments, provincial authorities, and district line agencies.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, including word, excel, power point, email and internet use.
  • Excellent report-writing skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Willingness to reside and work in program implementation sites.
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts and backgrounds.

2) Position: Field Coordinator - Policy & Lobby – 1

Term: Fixed Term Contract 

Reports to: Project Coordinator-Education

Location: Malangawa, Sarlahi

Working Area: Godaita and Balara Municipality

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

The position holder will frequently have direct contact with children and/or young people in their day-to-day work. S/he will have to abide by child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) policy including the organization’s code of conduct. S/he will have to maintain dual adult rules while visiting/meeting with children.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Field Coordinator – Advocacy and Lobby will support field-level implementation of advocacy and lobbying efforts within the Sponsorship Program. This position focuses on ensuring the sustainability of child-centered initiatives through capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and ownership transition to local governments and communities. A core objective is to integrate children's voices into decision-making processes and foster the adoption of child-centered policies at the local level.  

This role allocates approximately 70% of time to field-level operations and coordination and 30% to reporting and higher-level collaboration.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field. 
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in field-level advocacy, lobbying, or community engagement. Familiarity with child rights issues, local governance structures, and advocacy practices in Nepal.  

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.  
  • Proven ability to organize advocacy events and facilitate capacity-building sessions.  
  • Competence in documenting and reporting field activities effectively.  
  • Basic knowledge of local policy processes and governance systems.
