Expression of Interest for Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)

Oxfam has been working in Nepal, undertaking various development and influencing initiatives aimed at addressing poverty and injustices alongside humanitarian response.

In Nepal, Oxfam has facilitated inclusive and sustainable development for over 40 years through partnerships with government and civil society. The Enterprise Development Programme (EDP) is Oxfam's flagship initiative aimed at strengthening women-led and cooperative-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through blended finance, business support, and market linkages.

Oxfam in Nepal invites Expressions of Interest from licensed wholesale-lending MFIs to enhance credit access for cooperative-led SMEs under the EDP.

Under this initiative, the selected MFI will:

• Assume 50% of the approved principal loan risk; and

• Access 50% risk coverage through Oxfam's Credit Guarantee Fund (CGF) held in a commercial bank.

Interested and Eligible MFIs with wholesale-lending capacity are encouraged to submit their expression of interest (EOI) in the mentioned format as prescribed in the TOR information which can be downloaded from below link:

Please submit your EOI in a sealed Envelope no later than 05:00 PM, 19 April 2026
